In honor of Women’s History Month, the King of Prussia Historical Society’s March program will highlight one of Upper Merion’s most prominent women.
Please join us on Saturday, March 14 at 2:00 pm to hear the story of Anna Morris Holstein. Torn from her Upper Merion home in 1862, Anna Morris Holstein, arrived in the aftermath of the Battle of Antietam and her life forever changed. The story of an unlikely heroine will be told by Karin Koons-Stocking.
Immersed in family stories from an early age, Karin Koons-Stocking, is the keeper of her family genealogy, photos and tales. Whether it be word of mouth narratives from her Ulster Scot ancestors or the detailed accounts of her early Pennsylvania German family, Karin simply loves a good story. A graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a B.A. in Theatre and Communications, Karin was prepared for her role as founder and president of the W.S. Hancock Society, the originators of the Montgomery County History Fair and the keepers of the memory of Major General Winfield Hancock.
