On July 5, 2019 the Society posted this message on their Facebook page:
We at the Society have been hearing second-hand that there is some question about where items donated for the tricentennial ended up.
In the summer of 2012, a number of community volunteers answered the call from the Upper Merion Tricentennial Committee to scan and preserve some of Upper Merion Library’s local history collection. With the assistance of the reinstated King of Prussia Historical Society, a number of items from our own library, surrounding communities as well as individual historical items were copied and scanned. The archiving was done in space on the ground floor of the township building. When the project was completed the space was vacated and the Society found a temporary home at Christ Church Old Swedes. All electronic data was given to the UMT Library and the King of Prussia Historical Society retained a copy. To the best of our knowledge, all materials were returned to their respective owners if requested and contact information provided. Some ended up in township library filing cabinets.
If you or someone you know donated items and either wish them returned, or would like to know whether they are in our archive, please contact the Society at archive@kophistory.org or message us via Facebook. After we receive details we will do our best to find out if they are in our archive or at the township library.
Please know that it is still our dearest hope that the King of Prussia Historical Society will soon find a home so that all of the items in our archive can be accessed and enjoyed by the public.
