Please join us on Saturday, February 7th at 2:00 pm at Christ Church Old Swedes as we host Upper Merion and Rebel Hill native, author Sheilah Vance. Her e-book, Six Days in December, tells the moving story of General George Washington’s and the Continental Army’s six day encampment on Rebel Hill and Gulph Mills from December 13, 1777 through December 19, when the army marched on to Valley Forge. As Vance notes in her blog, “those six days [are] a microcosm of so much of what happened during the Revolutionary War–the hardship, the bravery, the conflict, the thankfulness, the celebration, and the determination, among other things.”
The e-book Six Days in December is available for download from Amazon. It is a prequel to Vance’s novel, Becoming Valley Forge, due out late February and also available for pre-order from Amazon.
