Please join the King of Prussia Historical Society on Saturday, September 10 at 2:00 pm when J. Michael Morrison presents “Slim the Lineman in the Great Valley ” at Christ Church (Old Swedes) Church Hall.
Slim the Lineman is the story of Leslie W. Morrison (1899-1974), and his journey north from his family home in South Carolina to work for the Philadelphia Electric Company as a foreman in charge of building the high-tension line through the Great Valley and King of Prussia, from the Conowingo Dam to Bridgeport. According to sources at PECO, a book was written that was loosely based on his life, and later a Hollywood movie starring Henry Fonda. Learn about his colorful life and his contributions to King of Prussia.
