Caley Road Elementary School

Built in 1966, it was situated in the north of Upper Merion Township on Caley Road. Originally the school was going to be named 'King of Prussia Elementary', but local residents protested that traditionally 'King of Prussia' designates the vicinity of the US 202 (formerly Swedesford Road) and Gulph Road intersection. Based on the objections, the school board decided to name it after the street it was to be built on.

At some point in the 1980s, Superintendent Charles Scott shortened the name to Caley Elementary.

With enrollment on the rise again a new, larger Caley building was opened in 2018 and the old one demolished.
