Aerial Oblique Image - Norristown-Bridgeport Schuylkill River Bridges
aerial photo
Aerial photograph of bridges across the Schuylkill River circa 1924. In the photograph we're looking roughly southeast from over Barbadoes Island. Bridgeport is on the right, and Norristown is on the left. Bridges from bottom to top: the first bridge is a Reading Railroad bridge which crosses at an angle, the second is the Philadelphia & Western Railroad bridge, the third is the DeKalb Street Bridge which is a covered bridge, the fourth is the Swedesford Bridge - a railroad bridge that connects to Ford Street in Bridgeport, and the fifth bridge just barely visible after the bend in the river is the Pennsylvania Railroad Trenton Cut-Off bridge.
