Check out this September 25, 1971, Philadelphia Inquirer ad for Gulph Mills Village Apartments located at 649 S. Henderson Road.
Did you know three buildings that once belonged to the Henderson family are still standing on the Gulph Mills Village Apartments complex? A former Henderson home serves as their office building. This restored home was built about 1812. The original barn on this property has also been restored and houses the apartment’s maintenance department. A spring house still remains.
The Hendersons, one of the great industrialist families of Montgomery County, were natives of England and settled in Upper Merion. You can read more about this family in the Summer 2014 issue of the King of Prussia Gazette.
The 2017 Summer issue will be mailed to current Society members soon. To become a member, join here.
