The King of Prussia Historical Society’s rescheduled Scanning Event will be indoors at the Old Roberts Schoolhouse on Sunday, November 17 from 10:00am to 1:00pm. When the temperature forecast for our original date was too cold for our equipment, our friends at McKaig Nature Education Center graciously agreed to open up the Old Roberts Schoolhouse for us during their Celebrate National Take a Hike Day event.
Here is a rare opportunity to see inside the Old Roberts Schoolhouse while supporting the King of Prussia Historical Society.
Please bring your old pictures of landmarks and landscapes from around the area for us to scan for our digital collection. The 60s, 70s, and 80s are history now, too, believe it or not! Please dig up those old pictures of the original mall, the old theaters, farmers fields that turned into shopping centers, etc. We will also have old maps and aerial photos on display.
While you are there you can join the McKaig community and take a hike with friends and family along the 3¼+ miles of woodland trails at their FREE Celebrate National Take a Hike Day event. Research shows that hiking can have many health and social benefits. It can reduce stress, increase heart activity and reduce blood pressure. Registration is recommended, but not required.
