March is Women’s History Month!
Please join the King of Prussia Historical Society at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 9, when Maria Savini, Upper Merion educator and history enthusiast, presents “The Story of the Justice Bell.” The program will be held in Patriot’s Hall at Washington Memorial Chapel, a short distance from the Justice Bell.
On September 25, 1920, the Justice Bell rang out at Independence Hall in acknowledgement of the newly ratified 19th Amendment. Since then, it has become something of a historical footnote. As America prepares to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage, please join Maria Savini as she shares the story of the “Women’s Liberty Bell” currently housed in the Washington Memorial Chapel at Valley Forge National Historic Park.”
