Annual Meeting (rescheduled from January 12) with a short program, “From the TV Archives.” Local broadcast media professional, news writer, and Society board member, George Brusstar, will present a pictorial retrospective of our community from the 80s and 90s.
For several years in the early 1990s, Upper Merion residents were able to look-in on “KP-3” – King Of Prussia’s first (and to date only) independently-operated local cable-TV channel. Recently dozens of still-shots were harvested from the surviving archives of the “KP Cam,” a roving camera that captured scenes from typical days-in-the-life around town. Even though most of the pictures aren’t yet 30 years old, they tend to have one big thing in common- they show things that aren’t there anymore.
