Mr. Michael Napolitan, P.G., is a geologist with over 9 years of consulting experience in geologic, hydrogeologic, geotechnical, and environmental related projects. Mike specializes in the utilization of technology to enhance project performance, visualize data, and foster project team understanding. One of the technologies he uses is drones, and he is a licensed drone pilot. We probably most often think of drones in a recreational or personal use context, but commercial, industrial and military uses are growing tremendously. Drones are used for countless tasks including surveying historical and archaeological sights, land management and infrastructure surveys, disaster management, search and rescue, and so much more. It probably won’t be long before drones deliver our pizza and Amazon orders.
As a drone hobbyist as well as a professional, Mike has taken aerial drone photos of some of the recent construction projects in the township. He is going to share information about drone technology as well as photos of some places we know but from a whole new perspective.
Meetings are free and open to the public.
